KINTSUGI SKULL

Exploring the world of specialfx makeup and bodypaint has really expanded my views on overall composition and concept in design. This look was inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi. Repairing broken pottery with gold resin. In this look I explored the concept of trauma. Something that scars you deep in your bones. You can choose to see yourself like the broken pottery, something to be discarded, or accept those experiences as the beautiful cracks that show your history. The choice is yours.
